Jennifer Caserta has been promoted to Administrative Manager in the Raleigh Executive Drive Clinic, located behind Duke Raleigh Hospital at 3410 Executive Drive, Suite 205
Sarah Barton has been promoted to Administrative Manager in the Raleigh Specialty Clinic, located near Rex Hospital at 3100 Blue Ridge Road, Suite 204.
Heidi Degioanni has been promoted to Administrative Manager in the Raleigh Rexview Medical Plaza Clinic, located near Rex Hospital at 3200 Blue Ridge Road, Suite 122.
Julie Reid has been promoted to Administrative Manager in the Clayton Physical Therapy Clinic, located in the Medical Pavilion at Spring Branch adjacent to Johnston Medical Center Clayton at 166 Springbrook Avenue, Suite 201.

Brad Hancock, MPT, of Activcare Physical Therapy, announced that Ryan Peryer PT, DPT has been promoted to Clinical Manager at the new Activcare Walter Reed Clinic that has opened behind the Omni Fitness Plaza at 1340 Walter Reed Road, Suite 102 in Fayetteville. Colin McGowan ATC, PT, DPT has also joined the Activcare Walter Reed Clinic as a Staff Physical Therapist. Andrew Dodgson PT, MPT has joined the Activcare Robeson Clinic located at 2301 Robeson Street, Suite 204.
Ryan Peryer, PT, DPT hails from Malone, a small rural area in Northeastern New York. A 2008 graduate from the University at Buffalo with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Ryan was chosen by faculty as the student demonstrating "Leadership in Physical Therapy". Ryan offers experience in diverse patient populations in both the outpatient and acute in-patient settings. Ryan's passion is teaching, and he is an American Physical Therapy Association accredited Clinical Instructor.
Colin McGowan, ATC, PT, DPT is originally from Brick, NJ. In 2007, he earned his Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University, while earning his NATABOC Athletic Trainer Certified credential. He then worked at Syracuse University as a graduate assistant ATC for the sports medicine department primarily providing coverage for the Syracuse football team, while completing requirements for his degree; he graduated in 2009 with a Master's of Science in Exercise Science. Colin worked at Championship Physical Therapy, a privately owned outpatient clinic in East Syracuse, prior to relocating to Burlington, NC to work on his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, which he completed in 2012. He has completed a variety of rotations including hand therapy and burn rehabilitation; he has strong interests in orthopedics, manual therapy, sports-related injuries, and rehabilitation of the hand, wrist, and elbow. Colin is licensed in the State of North Carolina as a physical therapist and has maintained his national credentials as an athletic trainer.
Andrew Dodgson PT, MPT was brought up in southern Maryland but found his way to North Carolina prior to receiving his Bachelors in Biology at NC State University. He went on to attend Western Carolina University, where he graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2012. While earning his physical therapy education, he performed the duties of a graduate assistant and spent time in the biomechanics lab. Andrew contributed to research to examine the relationship between hip musculature and foot mechanics. As a therapist, his interests are with the use of hands-on techniques, and he plans to go on to specialize in manual therapy for the treatment of orthopedic injuries.

Brad Hancock, MPT, of Activcare Physical Therapy, announced the opening of a second Activcare Physical Therapy clinic behind the Omni Fitness Plaza at 1340 Walter Reed Road, Suite 102 in Fayetteville, NC on February 4th.
Ryan Peryer PT, DPT is the Clinical Manager at the Activcare Walter Reed Clinic. Other therapists include Colin McGowan ATC, PT, DPT and Brittanny Matthews PT, DPT. Christy McCoy is the Administrative Manager, and Judy Sandoval is the Patient Referral Coordinator.

Brad Hancock, MPT, of Activcare Physical Therapy, announced that Brittanny Matthews, PT, DPT and Krista Osborne, PT, DPT will be treating patients in the Fayetteville office, and Matt Kannellis, PT, DPT has been promoted to Clinical Manager for the 3410 Executive Drive clinic in Raleigh.
Matt Kannellis, PT, DPT has been with Activcare for one year and has proven both his clinical and managerial capabilities resulting in his promotion to Clinical Manager. Matt received his BS in Biology from Hobart College and he earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Upstate Medical University in 2008. He specialized in orthopedics and sports physical therapy, including experience at Cornell University's physical therapy clinic. Matt has four years of work experience in a variety of outpatient orthopedic settings and has a strong background in various manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise. He also enjoys treating patients with sports-related injuries.
Brittanny Matthews, PT, DPT grew up in Garner, North Carolina. She received a BS in Exercise Physiology in 2009 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012 from East Carolina University. While completing the Physical Therapy program at ECU, she worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Muscle Physiology laboratory, where she researched the effects of exercise and aging on the Vitamin D receptor located in skeletal muscle cells. Her research ultimately investigated ways physical therapy can further reduce fall risk in the geriatric population.
Krista Osborne, PT, DPT is originally from Portland, Oregon. She received her Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science from Gonzaga University in 2009 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Emory University in 2012. Krista has performed research in both gait biomechanics and peripheral nerve injury. She has experience in neurology, pediatrics and acute care and has taken advanced coursework on the treatment of sports injuries. She plans to specialize in the rehabilitation of patients with neurological conditions.

Kara Minchener PT, DPT is originally from Jamestown, NY. She received her Bachelor’s in Health Science from Daemen College. In 2010 she completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree. While earning her Doctorate Degree she worked as a graduate anatomy lab teaching assistant. Kara plans to continue to pursue further specialty training for Vestibular/Neurological Rehabilitation.

L. Brittany Rice, PT, DPT grew up in Burlington, NC. She graduated from Meredith College in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and from East Carolina University in 2011 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Brittany is trained in the Graston Technique®, a technique using stainless steel instruments to assist in the treatment of soft tissue abnormalities for chronic, acute and post-surgical populations.
Lee Welch, PT, DPT is originally from Charlotte, NC. He graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from North Carolina State University in 2004 and worked as a Scientist for 5 years before going back to graduate school for physical therapy. Lee received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from East Carolina University in 2012, where his specialized coursework included advanced concepts in lower extremity evaluation, sports physical therapy, as well as spine and manual therapy. Lee has experience in many clinical settings and has worked with professional athletes as he served as the game-day assistant to the Head Athletic Trainer for the Carolina Hurricanes during the 2011-2012 seasons.
Tosha C. Henk, PT, DPT, CLT is originally from Pennsylvania. She graduated from Slippery Rock University with a BS in Exercise Science (2005) and her doctorate in Physical Therapy (2008). Tosha has four years of experience treating patients in outpatient, acute, and short term and skilled nursing rehabilitation settings. In addition to treating general orthopedic conditions, Tosha has received her certification in lymphedema therapy and also has training in treating patients with vestibular disorders.
Matthew Lisk, PT, DPT, ATC grew up in Mount Airy, NC. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Athletic Training from East Carolina University in 2009 and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2012. Matthew’s interests are in the areas of pediatrics, orthopedics, and sports physical therapy. Through his interest in sports physical therapy Matthew acted as a season long Game Day Assistant for the Carolina Hurricanes athletic training staff during the 2011-2012 season. He also served as a graduate assistant in the Human Movement Laboratory where he conducted research on the gait biomechanics of obese adolescents. Matthew obtained clinical experience in a variety of settings during his time at ECU with an emphasis on outpatient orthopedics.
Scott Sedei, MPT graduated with honors from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1996 earning his degree in Exercise Physiology/Science. He later went on to get his Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Chatham College in 1999. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Scott has been working in the outpatient orthopedic setting for 13 years and has been serving the Clayton, NC community for eight years. He treats a wide variety of orthopedic patients, but specializes in sports medicine rehabilitation, and has worked closely with many local high schools and their athletes.

Matt Kanellis, PT, DPT, comes to Activcare with five years’ experience and has specialized in orthopedics and sports physical therapy, including experience at Cornell University's physical therapy clinic. Amanda Gamby, PT, DPT, has clinical experience in several outpatient orthopedic settings with training in manual therapy and the McKenzie Method. Originally from Lancaster, PA, she enjoys treating patients with orthopedic and sports related injuries as well as working with the geriatric population.
Darlene Moore joins the Activcare team with 20 years’ experience in front desk administration and over three years in the Physical Therapy field. Darleen will oversee the administrative duties of the Executive Drive clinic. She is passionate about providing patients with an enjoyable experience and looks forward to getting to know the Activcare patients personally.
As a Front Desk/Patient Relations Coordinator, Robin Locklear coordinates patient flow throughout the office. With direct experience in customer service and patient relations, Robin will be scheduling patients, assisting with payments, insurance verification and pre-authorization requirements and maintaining patient charts.
